Ingredients
2TspActive Dry Yeast
1 1/2TspSalt
1Tbsp HoneyRaw
1 1/2CupWarm WaterNot Hot
2TbspUnsalted Butter
3Cups All Purpose FlourSifted
1 Cups Whole Wheat Flour Sifted
1/2Cup OatmealOld Fashioned Oats
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl lightly combine warm water, yeast and honey. Let sit for 5 minutes or until frothy.
Next, add in butter, salt, Oatmeal and sifted flours 1 cup at a time alternating between white and wheat. Knead until slightly sticky. Add extra flour 1/2 a tablespoon at a time if needed.
Knead for 5 minutes with hand or stand mixer. Once completed add to a well oiled bowl and cover in a warm place for an hour and a half.
Once time has passed, knead once more and place in an oiled pan for another 45 minutes. Be sure to get all bubbles at so that you do not have any holes in the dough.
Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Check the bread around the 25 minute mark to ensure to not burn your hard work. At this point drizzle honey on top for a crisp flavorful crust. Once done, place on a rack immediately to cool and enjoy!
